EXPERIENCE
Mr. García has over 38 years of professional assurance and financial control experience providing services to international companies and its subsidiaries. He is responsible of BDO Hermosillo office. During his trajectory he has development as external auditor, internal auditor and management consultant providing audits for financial purposes for domestic and foreign companies, and audits report for tax and financial purposes, due diligence, special reports; tax reports for Social Security and Housing fund purposes, among others. His experience as auditor and business consultant includes: mining industry, drilling services companies, companies engaged in construction of houses and dwellings of low and medium level, agro industrial sector, maquila Industry, government sector, etc. He also provided his services to other three International Firms for more than 20 years (PWC, EY and Deloitte)
He has provided several courses, seminars and conferences to local public accountants association, Universities, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
He participated as part timer professor during seven years of subjects: advanced accounting, auditing and others at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (TEC) Campus Sonora Norte and Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM), and as an instructor of several seminars for auditors (assistants and seniors) from 1993 through 2001 and further.
INDUSTRY SPECIALIZATION
Licensed and certified (chartered since 1998) public accountant with good English oral or written communication skills and USGAAP as well as IFRS reporting experience.
Counselor for several past years of the Chamber of Commerce in Hermosillo and the Executive Committee and representative before tax authorities and state representative of the association of hotels and motels of Sonora.
Mr. García has been in charge of attending foreign clients and investors and dealing with officers and other personnel from parent companies.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS
- Member of the Public Accountants Association of Sonora: Vice-president of International Affairs current Board 2013-2016; President of the Board for the period 2012-2013, and active member of the Mexican Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 1984.
- He has participated for several years in several Vice-presidencies and Commissions, such as Legislation, Auditing and External Practice for the Association and General Vice-President.
