Experience

C.P.A. Zaga has over 35 years of professional experience providing services to Mexican and international companies. During his trajectory, he held the position of Sub-administrator at The Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP as per initials in Spanish). Then, he established his own accounting firm independently.

He is a BDO partner since 1998, he performed as Tax National Director of BDO in Mexico and Regional Head of Tax for the Latin America region until June 2025.

He has participated as an expert witness in the United States Court, during World Bank dispute resolutions.

Mr. Zaga is frequently quoted at newspapers and magazines referring tax issues, such as: Vertigo, Milenio, Prontuario de Actualización Fiscal.

He was a member of the IMCP Representative Commission before Social Security Organizations  until 2024; and he was the liaison of this Commission to Infonavit for the 2010-2011 biennium.

 
Additionally, he has been a member of the IMCP Tax Commission since 2023. He has been a member of the IMCP Tax Advisory Committee since February 2025.

He has intervened as an expert witness in controversy resolutions at the World Bank in Washington, DC.
