Rita Mireya Valdivia has more than 17 years of experience in the area of Mexican taxes, having worked principally in the tax consulting and planning, with projects for National and International clients.

Rita Mireya worked in the United States for BDO Houston in the tax department for two years, where she gained experience working on projects regarding the tax treatment for different types of entities, such as “C” Corporations, Partnerships, Non-Profit Entities, Trusts and Individuals.

Rita Mireya is a licensed public accountant (LCP) and tax specialist (EF). Throughout her career has developed broad experience in tax planning and consulting, also specializing in studies in relation to capital restructuring (sale of shares and capital reimbursements) across a wide range of industries such as: Energy, Mining, Construction, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Automobiles, Manufacturing, Financial Sector and Digital Services, among others.

She also has experience across a diverse range of projects, such as: Digital Services, Mergers, De-mergers, Liquidations, Individuals Tax Incorporation regime, Due Diligence (including International Coordination), Permanent Establishment, Payments made Abroad, Federal Tax Compliance, International Restructuring, Tax Provisioning.

Rita Mireya is certified as a tax practitioner by the Mexican Institute of Public Accounts (IMCP), and is a Member of the International Tax Commission  of the CCPM. She participated in the Academic Council for the Validation of Examinations for the Tax Discipline coordinated by CENEVAL.

She is the author of diverse articles in various tax matters and has also been interviewed by various international media, such as Natural Gas Intelligence, Oil & Gas Investor, E & E News and Reuters USA.
