The procurement process in the public sector is regulated by the Public Sector Law of Acquisitions, Leases and Services (in the case of the Federation, as well as federal and municipal entities that make acquisitions from federal resources); or by the acquisitions law or equivalent in each federative entity. Its purpose is to regulate the application of article 134 of the Political Constitution of the Mexican United States.
